Last week I turned in copyedits for my newest YA novel, which means the next time I see the book it will be in its beautiful, typeset form. I grew so incredibly attached to my characters in The Steep and Thorny Way that I'm feeling some withdrawal from working on the novel. I really can't wait to share more about it.
The cover is currently in the works, and I've heard some details about it. I can't share anything just yet, but I will say that Maria T. Middleton, the same designer who worked on In the Shadow of Blackbirds and The Cure for Dreaming, will be creating the cover and interior designs for this one, too.

Summer is rapidly approaching, which means my adult debut novel will soon be available! At this point, I've finished all of my work on the book, and I'm now waiting to dive into promotions for it.
On August 11 at 7:00 pm, I'll be celebrating the release of The Uninvited at Powell's Books at Cedar Hills Crossing in Beaverton, Oregon. I'll also be promoting the book at Elliot Bay Book Company in Seattle and Annie Bloom's Books in Portland. I got to announce the sale of my second adult novel just this past week. I don't have any updates to add, aside from saying that this is the book I'll be actively writing during the rest of the calendar year.
