This Saturday I'll be heading up to Seattle, WA, for an appearance at University Book Store (the U District location). I'll be speaking at 4:00 pm, and I'll be sharing historical photos, music, and giveaways, as well as reading a short excerpt from The Cure for Dreaming. A Q&A session will follow my talk.
Here's the University Book Store's summary about the event:
A mesmerizing gothic tale about a young woman named Olivia whose father
hires a mesmerist to "hypnotize the rebellion out of her," Cat Winters' The Cure for Dreaming
paints a vivid portrait of the early 19th century women's rights
movement and injustices inflicted upon women when the hypnotist instead
enables Olivia to see the true nature of the world and those in it.
Joining us for a reading and signing, Winters will invite us into its
spellbinding story of darkness, light, monsters, cages, and issues of
oppression still relevant today.
If you can make it, I'd love to see you! If you can't, you can still buy an autographed copy of The Cure for Dreaming through University Book Store. Pre-order a copy here.
I'm looking forward to seeing you, Seattle!
